Coffee Dates

One thing that I never miss doing whenever I am back home in Kota Kinabalu is having coffee dates in the many coffee joints around the city - nearly every night (and day).

It’s not about being addicted to coffee. But who could resist the lure of the many cafes  nearby? CoffeeBean and San Francisco Coffee are less than 5km from my home in Kota Kinabalu - not to mention the many more non-branded cafes.

Perhaps it is also to do with having kids-minder who did not mind being left with their grandkids and having drinking buddies who consider going out after 10 pm - normal.

But since we decided to stay in Brunei this Christmas, hanging out sessions are less, chatting sessions on nonsense like college student loan are fewer.

Luckily we have enough spots here in Bandar Seri Begawan to entertain my siblings who are over. So yes, I did have my share of end-of-year bingeing on cakes, lattes and late night.
