Pineapples

It is too bad that my kids do not enjoy pineapple as much as they like papaya – which just will not grow in my garden at all!. Even though I water these few papaya trees quite regularly (as compared to the pineapples), 2 of the shoots were attacked my fungus and the other one does not look that much better.

But my pineapple continued to grow without being cared for at all (since I am not fond of being scratched by its spiky leaves).

Since we moved here, my husband and I have had one pineapple from our garden and quite looking forward to the next harvest. The problem is, it is hard for just the two of us to eat one whole fruit.

Recently I read that pineapple juice can be used as a mask to remove blackheads on nose. Read the recipe here. So if we struggle to finish the next pineapple harvest, I will probably try this.
