Not all women are natural domestic goddesses.

Sometimes homebound women are worse housekeepers than working women. Being at home all the time can make it easier to dis-notice clutter and untidiness.

As for single women, surely you know many sharp-suited single women who are comfortable living in a dump. Yet, remember how you are amazed at how some high-flying professional single women manage to keep their homes elegantly – without the aid of maids?

Sure, it’s a personal choice – to decide how high a priority housekeeping is.

But women who decide not to bother with housekeeping must have a spouse who does not mind either – because this is a definite source of conflict.

In my opinion, it’s best to at least keep the bedroom tidy. When the world threatened to bring you down, you have one sanctuary to escape to. So fold the blanket, smoothened that sheet and straightened those pillows.

You will thank yourself.
