Tis’ The Season For No Holiday

When we bumped into family friends recently, our talks turned into the subject of holidays.

Even though they were not thrilled with our trip to Jakarta recently, they were envious of the fact that we managed to travel without the kids.

It was the first time that we went away for a few days without the kids and it was not as hard as we imagined. Of course it helped that there were 3 of them together so even without us, they still had each other. Ours entertained each other during the day and comforted one another at night and it was a good bonding experience for them.

And it was great to reconnect as a couple and of course we get to enjoy a kind of holiday that is different as when you have the kids’ interest to consider. Our next family holiday will only happened when Baby De can walk by herself – unless we go for holidays where there is not much walking involved e.g. cruise ship holiday or where we can rent camper vans (staying in rv parks would be an interesting experience for them).

BUT with this flu pandemic still raging on, I think holiday plans – couple or family – is shelved indefinitely.
