If there is one similarity between all the men in my household, all of whom work in the oil and gas industry, it is the presence of a big usually-black bag in the boot of their cars.
Not for them fancy leather briefcase for men but bags big enough to take their change of clothing, safety hat, safety boots, safety glasses amongst others.
This came to my attention one day when my in laws wanted to use one of my brother in law’s car and had to change their car of choice because the one they picked first had it’s car boot taken up with the said big bag – and how can they fit their shopping bags?
Which brings me to the similarity between my retired inlaws and a stay at home mom such as myself.
Our car boot does not have the big usually black bag but instead conveniently occupied by big and spacious mostly blue and white, cooler box.
